Venice Italy wedding photographer – Honeymoon in Venice

Wedding photographer in Venice Italy. The photoshoot  in occasion of the italian honeymoon of Hiroe and Steven.

Steven got in touch with me asking if I could capture – as a Venice wedding photographer – some lovely memories in occasion of his honeymoon in the City.

He and his beautiful wife Hiroe tied the knot in Japan (she’s from Osaka and he’s from NYC), They would love to add Venice to their wedding album and that’s why they wore their wedding dress and tuxedo for this special occasion!

The day of the shooting I picked them up at their hotel, The Hilton Molino Stucky, from whose top floor terrace we took our first shoots, with a stunning view of the city as a backdrop. From the quiet Giudecca “sestiere” (quarter), where the Molino Stucky is located, we then moved to the most iconic areas of  Venice: Saint Mark and Rialto.

After a walk across the most crowded areas of Venice, nothing is more relaxing and romantic than a gondola ride… and so we did!  The gondola ride started from the Grand Canal, not far from the Rialto Bridge, and then we enjoyed Venice from the unique perspective of the small intertwined water canals of the City.

For the last part of the photoshoot I decided to visit some inner and more intimate areas, far from the crowd of tourists, and eventually we went to San Giorgio Island, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Venice.

We started the shooting under a clear blue sky and a bright light. When we got to San Giorgio the sky had become cloudy, so we enjoyed that soft and delicately warm light of a cloudy sunset which makes Venice even more romantic.

Hiroe and Steven are an easy going and truly amazing couple and it was so pleasant hanging out with them in Venice! I wish them all the best for their future life together and I hope my photographs will be a cherished and everlasting memory of their honeymoon in the most romantic city of Italy!
