A Romantic Pre-Wedding Session in Venice, the Dream Destination for Couples from Around the World

As a wedding and couple photographer in Venice, I’ve learned that love knows no borders — and neither do the dreams that come with it. Over the years, I’ve been entrusted by countless couples from every corner of the world who wish to be photographed among the timeless beauty of Venice, dressed in their wedding attire, even if their ceremony lies in the future — or already belongs to the past.

This city, with its shimmering canals and whispered histories, holds a magic that speaks directly to the heart. It’s no wonder that so many couples, whether already married or soon to be, choose to celebrate their story with a pre or post wedding photoshoot in Venice, adding depth and beauty to their memories — and often, to their wedding album.

This was the dream of Kim and Tuan, a wonderful couple from Asia, whose wedding will take place in a few months in their homeland. Yet before saying “I do” in front of their loved ones, they wished to honor their love in the most romantic setting of all — Venice.

We began their couple photoshoot in Venice in the late afternoon, with a graceful gondola ride, gliding under the Bridge of Sighs and  through the quiet canals. The charm of the water and the soft light made every glance between them feel cinematic. From there, we moved to the iconic Piazza San Marco, where the majesty of the basilica and the open space gave room for elegance and intimacy to dance together.

As the sun lowered, we wandered through hidden calli, the narrow, silent alleyways where Venice reveals its most authentic soul — a perfect contrast to the grandeur of the main landmarks. And finally, we reached the San Marco Basin, just in time to watch the day melt into twilight, the city glowing in soft shades of gold and rose.
