Venice wedding photography. Stylish destination wedding in Italy. Civil ceremony at Palazzo Cavalli. Reception at Cà Sagredo Hotel.

The day before, it had rained heavily and constantly and the weather report wasn’t at all positive for the following day.
So imagine the surprise and the joy when there was a radiant sun in a light blue sky in the venetian morning.
It definitely puts you in a good mood, doesn’t it?
In fact, this good mood feeling was the theme of this entire wonderful day!
The couple Chun and Wei, their lovely family and all their guests had an unforgettable day, where cheerfulness, but also tradition, were the main characters.
The couple, which at the moment lives in London but is originally from Singapore, wanted in fact to honour their families by respecting the traditional tea ceremony.
In the morning, the couple privately served the tea to the bride’s parents and in the afternoon, after they had exchanged vows, the tea was offered to the groom’s family.
Needless to say, this ceremony fascinated me very much (it was the first time that I had the pleasure to document such a ceremony).
The marriage ceremony was celebrated through a civil wedding at Palazzo Cavalli and the reception was held in the refined and exclusive setting of Cà Sagredo Hotel.
It was a really elegant wedding, in its form and essence but, at the same time, free from any strict formalism. It was fresh, cheerful and funny (just think about the unexpected stop, where the couple enjoyed a slice of take away pizza during the photographic session)!
I met a wonderful couple, nice and friendly, whom it has been a real pleasure to spend an intense day with!
It’s a honour and a privilege to be part of events so unique and precious, in one of the world’s most fascinating settings: Venice!
Thank you Chun and Wei! I hope that the photographer has succeeded in returning your confidence thanks to his images, some of which are on this preview.
