Alfredo thought of a trip to Venice, from Sicily, to formalize what, in fact, was already an engagement, while still missing the formalization sanctioned by the solemn marriage proposal and the ring. What better scenario than the city of lovers to perform this romantic ritual?

Initially, he contacted me to request photographic documentation of the event, having had the opportunity to see similar photoshoots on this site.

When I proposed to shoot some video clips too, showing him some examples, he thought that the video would allow him to share those emotions with his friends and relatives on the wedding day, projecting it during the wedding reception.

The making of the film has therefore become Alfredo’s main request, together with the realization of some photographic shots, which in any case represent the classic, precious memory to be kept in mobile phones, printed, framed… as per tradition.

The marriage proposal took place in the most romantic way that Venice can offer: aboard a gondola that slowly travels through the most hidden canals of the city, immersed in the beauty of the bridges and historic facades of the buildings that overlook them.

At the end of the gondola ride, the engaged couple strolled in some of the most iconic places in the city, St. Mark’s Square and the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, enjoying that suspended and magical atmosphere that only Venice can offer on certain autumn days. 

A young couple very much in love, to whom my best wishes go for a happy next life as husband and wife.

It was a true pleasure for me to document this significant moment in their life as a couple.

I am sure that these memories will renew their emotions, when they want to see them again, over the years to come, once they become a family.
