Getting married in Venice is the dream of many couples from all over the world.

An elopement is the easiest way to make this dream come true.

An intimate wedding, often celebrated with a civil ceremony, is increasingly appreciated because it allows getting married in the place of the couple’s heart, in a very informal, free, and “streamlined” way. Especially in times of pandemic, this solution has been a great success. It was also the choice of Jacqueline and Thierry, from France, who were able to organize their wedding in Venice without worrying about any complications and restrictions, because they opted for the most minimalist formula: the participation of the bride and groom only.

With the help of Christelle, owner of the wedding planning agency Venice-etc, it was super-easy going through all the paperwork and planning the wedding.

After the ceremony at Palazzo Cavalli, in the presence of only the celebrant, the translator, and two witnesses (but no less exciting for the two protagonists), we took some photographs in the Rialto area.

I eventually said goodbye to the couple, who enjoyed an intimate and romantic gondola ride, photographing their departure along the Grand Canal and their passage under the Rialto bridge.
