Venice carnival elopement

Elopement photographer in Venice, Italy. French wedding during the carnival time.

Jordan and Christophe are a delightful french couple who have given themselves a double pleasure: getting married in Venice and tying the knot wearing sumptuous traditional robes, taking advantage of the carnival period.

An intimate, minimalist elopement, celebrated with a civil ceremony at Palazzo Cavalli, in the presence of only the celebrants and witnesses.

In times of pandemic, the number of couples who have chosen this formula has increased exponentially, having made the celebration of marriage possible despite the many constraints and restrictions imposed by the sad circumstances.

Jordan and Christophe got married in their splendid historical costumes, making unique and unforgettable this significant moment of their life as a couple.

After the ceremony, the couple strolled to Piazza San Marco, immersing themselves in the magic atmosphere of the carnival, even if, in this second year of pandemic, the carnival event took place in a minor tone due to the scarce presence of tourists and carnival costumes.

Eventually, the photo session ended with the classic, romantic, gondola ride (the vision of Venice from the water is always a unique experience), a prelude to the lunch that the newlyweds enjoyed in complete intimacy on the terrace of the St. Regis Hotel, enjoying the spectacular view over the Grand Canal, overlooking the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute and the Punta della Dogana.

A special thank goes to Christelle and Magdalena, of the wedding planning agency Venice-etc, for planning this amazing Venice elopement.
