Destination wedding photographer Umbria, Italy.

Inspirational styled shoot at Villa Valentini Bonaparte.

Not just as a wedding photographer, Umbria is one of the places most dear to my heart, and one of the most charming regions in Italy.

Unfortunately, despite its unique historical, architectural and natural beauty, it is not as internationally renowned as neighbouring Tuscany.
However, the fact of being a little off the beaten path of mass tourism makes it a very livable and pleasurable place at any time of the year, and a perfect wedding destination in Italy, enabling both wedding couple and guests to experience the true Italian style in terms of art, culture, architecture, cuisine and breathtaking natural scenery.

This is why I enthusiastically took the opportunity of participating in a wedding styled shoot at Villa Valentini Bonaparte, in Laviano di Castiglione del Lago.
The villa is located on a hill overlooking the countryside of neighbouring Tuscany, not far from Montepulciano, Cortona and lake Trasimeno.
A majestic view of Val d’Orcia and of the Chianti hills opens up in front of you, just a short distance away, and the most beautiful historic towns and villages of Umbria and Tuscany are just minutes away by car: Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Spello, Foligno, Spoleto, Todi, Orvieto, Siena, Montalcino, Pienza, Arezzo, San Gimignano, Firenze….

Each of these places deserves a visit at least once in a lifetime, and they all provide precious backdrops for fabulous weddings.

One can lose oneself in the beauty of the landscape and in the taste of the world’s most renowned wine products and culinary specialities that satisfy even the most discerning palates.

As much as I am attached to my beloved Veneto, and to Venice in particular,  which are already among the world’s top wedding destinations, I cannot but also recommend  these alternative choices to foreign couples in search of unforgettable Italian locations to fulfill their dream of love.

The great charm of the shooting results from the ability, experience, enthusiasm, creativity and extreme good taste of all participating professionals, to whom I would like to express my warmest thanks.
The refined style and modernity of the staging – apparent in every detail of accessory and decoration-  blends magnificiently with the unique beauty of the location.

Villa Valentini Bonaparte was designed by architect Giovanni Caproni. in the middle 1800s. It used to belong to princess Maria Alessandrina Bonaparte, Napoleon’s niece , and is now the property of the owner of Preludio Group, our kind host, whom I thank most warmly.

Although the wintry weather in which the shooting was taken was not suitable to enhance the beauty of the extensive park with its magnificent flower gardens, the setting was nonetheless absolutely magic.

This shooting aims at representing the timeless elegance of an Italian style both linked to tradition and looking to refined modernity: it is dedicated to sophisticated and discerning customers.
