Proposal Photographer Venice Italy – And she said Yes!
Winter Surprise Wedding Proposal – Venice – Italy
Proposal Photographer Venice Italy – Winter Engagement Photo Session in Venice. Katie and T.J. from Kentucky USA…and she said YES!
T.J. and Kati are based in Kentucky, USA and were flying over to Italy as part of an amazing Winter vacation.
T.J. contacted me a couple weeks before, saying that he was secretly going to be proposing to his girlfriend in Venice, and asking for a proposal and engagement photo session.
Venice is one of the most amazingly beautiful locations for romantic wedding and pre-wedding photo shoots, but the hot spots are often animated by lots of tourists from all over. T.J. would have preferred to pop the question somewhere a bit more private so I suggested a couple of options, one of them being the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, usually not crowded and facing Saint Mark’s Square. The idea of having such an amazing backdrop sounded pretty cool to T.J. who instantly agreed with me and therefore we arranged how to meet without making her understand what was going to happen.
Two days before the meeting, T.J. wrote me worried about the forecast calling for rain. I reassured him about Venice being amazing under all weather conditions (well, perhaps a bit challenging when high water shows up!).
The day came! I was watching for them in S. Giorgio while a shower was coming down, but just a few minutes before their arrival, it luckily stopped and the clouds parted to give us a lovely light. Kati didn’t notice me (I was whistling around pretending to take pictures of the location), and when T.J. felt ready to get down to his knees, he gave me a secret signal and I was ready to capture that awesome moment!
Pretty much superfluous to report how amazed and delighted the future bride was (the pictures provide documentary evidence): great moment! Oh.. and she said YES!
After we were properly introduced to each other, we moved to San Marco, as planned, to shoot around the most celebrated spots of the city. Eventually, we made our way to some of the more intimate corners of Venice, away from the bustling crowds, to conclude the session.
