Well, sometimes the unexpected happens! I’m proud and excited to announce that, in April 2018, I have been appointed Photographer of the Year 2017 by the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (AG|WPJA).
The ranking awarded to the photos submitted in the two half-yearly contests have lead to this really fantastic result 🙂
Ag/WPJA is -among the associations of which I am a member- the one that is most representative of my way of envisioning wedding photography: an essentially documentary photography (spontaneous, in-the-moment-narrative, non-invasive), but interpreted in an artistic way.
My profound gratitude goes to WPJA and the judges, who found something to be appreciated in my work. Vivid congratulations to my talented colleagues Matteo and Danilo -yay! also from Italy! -who round up the podium, confirming the very high level of contemporary italian photography.
But the greatest thanks go to “my” couples, whose trust deeply honors me and makes these successes possible. I dedicate this achievement to all of you, with all my heart!
