If your priority is to create an intimate proposal away from the crowds, with a unique setting and a truly unforgettable atmosphere, this can be a wonderful solution to consider.

How to plan a surprise proposal at Lake Garda

A successful proposal photoshoot is not only about the exact moment you kneel. It is about planning the small details so you can feel calm, present and free to enjoy what is happening.

Before the session, we can discuss the best location for your idea, the most beautiful time of day for light, how to keep the proposal secret, where I should be positioned and what to do after the proposal.

Some couples prefer a fully secret proposal. While it’s virtually impossible to photograph a proposal completely unnoticed in most locations, with some careful planning and a few discreet tricks, we can make my presence appear completely natural, so I can capture the moment without giving away the surprise. Others prefer to book a normal couple photoshoot and keep only the proposal itself as a surprise. This is the option I highly recommend, as it’s by far the easiest and most natural approach. Your partner already knows why a photographer is there, while the proposal itself remains a genuine and completely unexpected surprise.

After the proposal, we usually continue with a relaxed engagement session around the area. This is often the most beautiful part of the experience: the tension has disappeared, the emotion is real, and you can simply enjoy your first moments as an engaged couple.

We can walk through the town, stop by the lake, find quiet corners, use the best light and create a small story of your time at Lake Garda. The result is not only a record of the proposal, but a complete memory of your trip to Italy.
