Some weddings just feel effortless — the light, the people, the atmosphere all coming together. That’s exactly how it was for Annette and Christopher’s wedding at Du Lac et Du Parc Grand Resort in Riva del Garda, on the shores of Lake Garda.
The day began in the afternoon. I first joined Christopher, who was with his two groomsmen — and two lively dogs that immediately made everyone smile. A mix of laughter and a few last-minute nerves set the tone.
Then I went to see Annette. She was surrounded by her three bridesmaids and the couple’s dog, a quiet moment of joy before stepping into the spotlight. These preparations are always some of my favorite parts of the day — simple, genuine, full of anticipation.
The ceremony took place in the lush park of Du Lac et Du Parc. Tall trees, summer light, and the sound of guests gathering created a beautiful setting.

The afternoon light was perfect — golden, soft, and romantic. Annette and Christopher were so natural together that photographing them felt more like following them through a stroll than posing.
Meanwhile, guests enjoyed an aperitif at the Terrazzo Cristallo, with live music setting a joyful mood. The reception continued in the veranda, where touching speeches made everyone laugh and cry in equal measure.
Later, in the Sala Rosa, the couple cut their cake with sparkling fountains in the courtyard — a truly cinematic moment — before dancing the night away.
