Pre wedding photography at lake Braies, in the heart of the Dolomites, Italy

It is so easy to be a pre wedding photographer in such amazing places as lake Braies, one of Italy’s most beautiful mountain lakes.

It is in the heart of the Dolomites, Trentino Alto Adige and part of of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies nature park.
It is pretty famous because of the beauty of the mountains above reflecting on its deep blue-green water.
Its popularity grew up recently due to an italian TV show (“Un passo dal cielo”) where the lake is often featured as the backdrop.

Although lago di Braies owes its fame to the colours of its water and to the rowboats (where the couples in love use to quietly paddle surrounded by the astonishing beauty of the Dolomites mountains), in the majority of the wintertime and springtime the water surface of lake Braies is covered with ice and snow.

Stefania and Carlo are a nice and wonderful couple and they are in love with mountains, being both expert climbers. For their pre wedding photoshoot they decided to visit for the first time lago di Braies, even knowing that it was completely iced. So that was my first occasion, as well, to see an iced and white lake Braies, after having already enjoyed the emerald green version 🙂

I have to say that lake Braies is fascinating also in its winter clothes and we had the good luck to enjoy an extraordinary warm day.
So the shooting was nice and easy, thanks to the beautiful weather and to the ease and serenity of Stefania and Carlo, whose happiness for their close wedding was so clear!

After the photo-shoot I shot a couple of video clips, just for fun, as I use to do after a couple photo session, if there is still time enough and if the couple likes the idea of having some more (and different) memories of the moments they spent together in a wonderful place before their wedding day.
